The Sentencing Project and civil rights, faith, and advocacy organizations across the country submitted a letter to Speaker Steve Yeager of the Nevada General Assembly and President Pro Tempore M. Dondero Loop of the Nevada State Senate in support of civic engagement for directly impacted Nevadans. The letter urges lawmakers to implement robust reform of the state’s sentencing laws to ensure fairness, reduce recidivism, and strengthen communities.
