Vianney Gómez

Research Fellow

Vianney Gómez is a Research Fellow at The Sentencing Project. Prior to joining The Sentencing Project, Vianney completed graduate-level coursework and research examining racial and ethnic political identity in the United States, as well as the ways bureaucratic institutions shape outcomes for underserved populations. She previously worked with the Pew Research Center, UC Berkeley, and the UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Institute, conducting quantitative and qualitative research on public opinion, political participation, and a range of public policy issues. She also has experience in community outreach and program implementation through her work with nonprofit organizations in California and Texas.

Vianney received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and her master’s degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin.
