Keith Wallington
Senior Campaign Strategist
Keith Wallington manages a portfolio of state-level advocacy initiatives at The Sentencing Project, with a primary focus on sentencing reform. His work centers on advancing policies to abolish life without parole, expand second-look sentencing reviews, cap excessive sentences at 20 years, and eliminate mandatory minimums.
Prior to joining The Sentencing Project, Keith served as Director of Advocacy at the Justice Policy Institute (JPI), where he led the organization’s state and national policy advocacy strategy to advance evidence-based criminal justice reform. In this role, he translated research into actionable policy recommendations, built and sustained coalitions with advocates, impacted communities, and policymakers, and represented JPI in legislative, media, and public forums. Keith has also worked extensively to remove barriers to assistance for crime survivors.
