Devyn Brown

Research Fellow

Devyn E. Brown is a Research Fellow at The Sentencing Project, focusing on lifer reentry, particularly developing reports on the intricacies of community reentry among juveniles and adults with long and life sentences. Devyn also provides research and writing support for the Advocacy and Research teams. In addition to working at The Sentencing Project, Devyn is completing her PhD at Howard University’s School of Social Work, her dissertation focusing on reentry and desistance among African American adult males. Prior to joining The Sentencing Project, Devyn interned with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) as an analyst where she served as the primary methodologist for the team. Devyn received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University.
