Humanizing Our Response to Crime

The United States is the world’s leading jailer, with 2.25 million people behind bars.  When it comes to crime and punishment, we have few peers.  Nevertheless, there is reason for hope that we can achieve real and lasting reforms.  In his recent talk to the Northern Virginia Ethical Society, The Sentencing Project’s Jeremy Haile discusses the steps we can take at the federal level to humanize our response to crime.  Listen here.
